We offer two different AP Art Portfolios at TJ: Drawing and 2-D Design. Both portfolios require students to create a cohesive body of work, called a "Sustained Investigation", which explores one theme in depth.

Despite the name "Drawing", this portfolio is not only for students who draw! The Drawing Portfolio is for students who focus on mark-making and spatial issues in their artwork. Many different types of media can be entered into the AP Art Drawing Portfolio such as: graphite, colored pencil, charcoal, pastel, pen & ink, acrylic painting, digital painting, watercolor, mixed media, and printmaking.

The AP Art 2-D Design Portfolio is for students who focus on the elements and principles of design in their work. Many different types of artwork can be entered into the 2-D Design Portfolio such as: digital photography, digital art, collage, cut paper, digital illustration, and traditional media illustration.
